Alex Reid

Background

Alex Reid is an associate professor and Director of Composition and Teaching Fellows in the English department at the State University of New York at Buffalo. His book, The Two Virtuals: New Media and Composition '(Parlor Press, 2007), was awarded honorable mention for the W. Ross Winterowd award for best book in composition theory. He is also the co-editor of Design Discourse: Composing and Revising Programs in Technical and Professional Writing (WAC Clearinghouse, 2010). His essays appear in journals such as Computers and Composition, Kairos, and Theory & Event.

My research focuses on the role digital media plays in research and teaching practices in the humanities.
