Robert Arp (CV) is a Research Associate through the National Center for Biomedical Ontology (NCBO Link) in the Ontology Research Group, housed in Buffalo, NY.
Currently, he is working primarily with Barry Smith (ontologist) and Werner Ceusters doing research in foundational ontology (meanings of 'ontology) and ontology development related to the biomedical domain.
He received his Ph.D. in Philosophy from Saint Louis University in November, 2004. His dissertation, renamed Scenario Visualization: An Evolutionary Account of Creative Problem Solving, will be published by MIT Press (MIT Link) in 2008. His areas of specialization include Philosophy of biology and Philosophy of Mind.
